I DISCONTINUED TO USE FACEBOOK. THIS TEXT AND THE LAST TWO TEXTS ARE FROM THERE. A sincere Buddhist makes efforts to get into Nirvana after physical death and avoid reincarnation. The philosophical correct term should be Nirguna Brahma, the part of Brahma that is beyond the influence of the three gunas, beyond time and space. Before this creation came into existence there was only Nirguna Brahma, the Supreme Soul in a state of indescribable bliss. The Supreme Soul, with the help of a then inactive force called Prakrti created a mind for Himself. The universe with all its different dimensions is the last and crudest part of this Cosmic Mind, Saguna Brahma. The Cosmic Mind consists of a Subjective Mind (Cosmic Mahatattva and Ahamtattva) and an Objective Mind (Cittatattva with the universe as its crudest part). The unit soul/mind through a number of plant/animal and human incarnations develops until it has reached enough awareness and and makes efforts to become one with the Supreme Soul, who is beyond the Gunas (Nirguna Brahma, Nirvana). All worldly attractions become insignificant for such a person. One should be aware that without the visible or invisible help of Saguna Brahma a spiritual aspirant could not reach the goal of Nirvana. With the help of Brahma Sadhana it is much easier to reach the goal. At www.brahmacakra.blogspot.com or my Facebook page one can find hints how to reach Nirvana. A sadhaka has to fully realize and experience Paramatman (Cosmic Soul) and his/her Real Self, the Atman. Otherwise it is not possible to overcome the influence of Maya and avoid reincarnation. Are you able to read 100 book pages a day? If not, be aware that your intellect is too limited; likewise, your understanding of reality is flawed. This is not arrogance, but a reality check. THE IMPORTANCE OF SECOND LESSON AND VIJINANAMAYA KOSA The Vijinanamaya Kosa is the storage place for the Samskaras and at the same time it is the home of some extraordinary Vrittis like Viveka(true discrimination) and Anuragya(non-attachment). From BABA’S discourse “The Base and the Relative Truth”: ….. (1) Annamaya Kośa: Even after the annihilation of the base from the Átmán, the Saḿskára does not separate from the Átman or unit soul. How does this phenomenon occur? Hirańmaya Loka is the subtlest body of the human being. The living being carves out a physical body for itself from the Bhúrloka i.e. where Tamoguńa is present dominant Rajoguńa is ordinary and sattvaguńa is negligible. Another name for this in Saḿskrta is Annamaya Kośa. This body is formed through food. (2) Kámamaya Kośa: The mind works behind the body. The mind is formed by Kámamaya Kośa which is known as the crude mental body. Here Tamoguńa is dominant, Sattvaguńa is intermediate and Rajoguńa is insignificant. (3) Manomaya Kośa: The force behind the Kámamaya body, that is, the crude mental body, is the Svarloka the mental sphere of the Supreme Brahma. Above the Kámamaya body there is an ordinary mind which is created by the Manomaya Kośa. In Manomaya Kośa, Rajoguńa is dominant, Tamoguńa is ordinary and Sattvaguńa is insignificant. The force behind the mind is Atimánas body or shell which has been created by the Maharloka. Here Rajoguńa is dominant, Sattvaguńa is ordinary, Tamoguńa is insignificant. A Kośa, literally shell, means a body. The four spheres comprehend the four shells. (4) Vijiṋánamaya Kośa: It is in this sphere that Saḿskáras exist. Sattvaguńa is dominant, Tamoguńa is ordinary and Rajoguńa is insignificant. This mental sphere is known as the Vijiṋánamaya Kośa and this sphere is the Janarloka of Brahma. (5) Hirańmaya Kośa: This sphere is known as the Taparloka. Here Sattvaguńa is dominant, Rajoguńa is ordinary and Tamoguńa is insignificant. The meaning of the word Hirańmaya is gold or golden….. “The Base and the Relative Truth (Ádhára and Ápekśika Satya)” Ánanda Púrńimá 6 May 1955 DMC, Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 1 From Didi Ananda Mitra’s Commentary on Ananda Sutram”, page 154, Sloka 3.1: VIJINANAMAYA KOSA: SUBLIMINAL MIND …..“Vijinananamaya kosa, the middle layer of the causal mind, can grasp the total existence of the objective world. It can perceive all the tanmatras, of which the lower kosas perceive only a fraction. It has frill knowledge of past, present and future. Many divine attributes are expressed in this layer of mind: mercy (krpa), gentleness (mrduta), patience (dhaerya), serenity (susthir), non-attachment (vaeragya), steadiness (dhrti), success (sampat), cheerfulness (hasya), spiritual ecstasy (romainca), humility (vinaya), meditation (dhyana), seriousness (gambhira), enthusiasm (udyama), imperturbability (aksoba), magnanimity (aodarya), and undisturbed attention (ekagrata). This kosa has two main functions: viveka, discrimination; and vaeragya, non-attachment. Viveka is knowing what is lasting and what is not – being able to discern the Eternal, Absolute Consciousness from the passing show of the material world. Discrimination means realizing that since one day we must all die, any attachment to this physical world can only ultimately bring pain and despair….. If a sadhaka wants to develop and experience the above divine vrittis he/she is to systematically purify the Vijinanamaya Kosa: Through the “burning process”of our lessons and through the very regular application of the second lesson this can be achieved. Only then and if one avoids all unnecessary worldly activities it is possible to get the Vijinanamaya Kosa clean. The two Mantras that are in use for Ananda Marga’s Second Meditation Lesson: Tade Tat and Sarvang Hyetad Brahma Meaning of both Mantras: Everything is within the Infinite Brahma. Application: Think the Mantra (only one of the two) and imagine that the eternal and infinite Brahma is the Real Doer of all actions in the universe; that we are Atman (our eternal Soul), merely witnessing the event. Apply the Second Lesson before all major activities. Correct Sanskrit pronounciation. Another point: Some may wonder why BABA as Taraka Brahma was hiding His identity while He was on Earth. Those days the planet was inhabited by 3-4 billion people. Imagine 2 billion of them applying for an Indian visa in order to see Him; or TV-helicopters permanently over Lake Gardens and Tiljala. He had to arrange His life in such a way that the vast majority of the Earth’s population would not take notice of Him; BABA even went to prison. For most people it is beyond imagination that GOD spends some years in prison. The gap of 35 years between 1990 and now: In 1990 the planet’s health was still intact. In those 35 years the population doubled and succeeded to considerably destroy much of the planet’s healthy nature. 35 years more from now and it would be difficult to breathe in some parts of the planet (big cities), half of our oceans would be dead; forest areas would be much less etc. PARAMATMAN AND MEDITATION The world that we perceive through our sensory organs is not reality. It is a relative reality only. All physical and mental objects that exist are a reflection of very small particles: atoms, molecules and microvita. A single atom needs the presence of several million microvita to come into existence. The various types of microvita are mental in nature. To overcome this limited perception of existence (MAYA) a person has to develop his/her abilities of mental perception; otherwise the understanding of existence is more or less defective. Making efforts to perceive PARAMATMAN, the Supreme Soul, who is the original cause of all creation is the only way to overcome Maya. Concentrating on PARAMATMAN in Siddhasana position for at least 20 minutes per day is together with Ananda Marga’s 1st lesson the best meditation that I know. If one succeeds to do this meditation on the Supreme Consciousness for an hour or more per day a considerable reduction in the necessity for sleep is one of the effects that can be noticed. How I got this meditation: It was towards the end of last century: I had just finished my 5th lesson and wanted to do Guru Puja. GOD (Saguna Brahma) kept me in the Siddhasana position for a few seconds. I immediately understood that I was supposed to meditate on and make efforts to perceive HIM. Here are the names of the 7 positive and 7 negative spheres of the beyond: “In the movement towards subtlety there are seven stages or lokas: bhu, bhuvah, svah, mahah, janah, tapah and satya; and in the movement towards crudity, there are seven spheres: tala, atala, talátala, pátála, atipátála, mahiitala, and rasátala. Rasátala, the crudest sphere, is dense, crude matter, like wood, bricks and stones. For a person having degenerated to this degree of crudity, it is next to impossible to return to the subtler spheres. But even in rasátala one is not alone – Parama Puruśa is also there. Hence, no one should despair.” from the discourse “The Divine Drama” 25 December 1978, Kalikata, Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 7 The attached (text: Nirvana) graphic is the best that I was able to find. Replace Prana by Kama. The 10 vayus are no additional kosa; and add the Atimanas Kosa in the area of the Vijinanamaya Kosa and the Anandamayi (Hiranmaya) Kosa. Atman, Mahatattva and Ahamtattva also should be added.
Spiritual development has much to do with mental perception. Sometime in the second part of the 1990ies I came across a book that showed the energy centers of the head. This book woke me up regarding my understanding of meditation. In this book were five energy centers on the forehead. In the course of the next years I developed the understanding that all the five energy centers are real and what they mean. As I am an ardent follower of kevala bhakti (only Brahma and Brahma Sadhana have importance for me) I quickly understood that the Guru Cakra is at the highest point of the forehead, not where the pineal gland is or at other places. The first energy center of the forehead is an upa-cakra just above the nose. It also has the function of an mental eye. Our third lesson is related to it. Once I perceived it during meditation: it slowly opened and I saw the white smoke of the fourth cakra; and the microvita that are the basis of solid matter; they move very, very slowly. The second energy center (forehead) is the sixth cakra. This is our second mental eye. It is much more developed in the case of people with a high standard of education. The third energy center is an upa-cakra and place of the famous “Third Eye”. As it is much under the influence of the sixth cakra only intense spiritual practice and mental renunciation from this world enable a sadhaka to perceive much through it. I call it mental eye “3a” as a person has the possibility to have an additional cakra that is situated exactly in the middle of the forehead. It has the same function as the upa-cakra of the “Third Eye”, but is much more powerful as it is not under the influence of the sixth cakra’s vibrations. Some have this cakra from birth. Others get it after a serious disease or an accident. One night in June 1995 I fell down some stairs and ended up on my head. This very painful accident was used by Brahma to connect some nerves in this central area of the forehead: I had the ninth cakra. From that day my mind became like a central station for transcendental information: I had visions of past lives, the future, saw human life on other planets etc. Both mental eyes (3a and 3b) are doors to the level of the Atimanas Kosa/Mahar Loka. The Guru Cakra has also the function of a mental eye. A Sadhaka perceives Brahma/Paramatman through it. In Didi Ananda Mitra’s book “Commentary on Ananda Sutram” 16 spiritual vrittis get mentioned that are said to be somehow related to the Vijinanamaya Kosa. This is not precise. Like the other vrittis these spiritual vrittis have a physical base: the Guru Cakra. Those who want to develop these vrittis (vaeragya non-attachment, romainca spiritual ecstasy etc) have to practice maximum sixth lesson (or one of the two meditations that I mention I my texts. If you have troubles: The six lessons will not help to get rid of them. The Kiirtan Mantra will, or at least will make a difficult situation more easy to handle. It is the daily practice of Kiirtan (one hour or more) that will bring a revolution into a person’s life.
ISHTA MANTRAS AND ACOUSTIC ROOTS Namaskar. Everyone knows the main acoustic roots of the first five Cakras from the Third Lesson: HAM, YAM, RAM, VAM, LAM. It is not accidental that the most famous Ishta Mantra on Earth, HAM-SO, has HAM as a major part. Many, many organizations use this mantra. The HAM-SO Mantra mainly uses the microvita that control the Fifth Cakra; these are microvita that form the basis of sound. As the Mantra is deeply related to BRAHMA Siddha Microvita also play an important role in the use of the Mantra. Like the first five Cakras also the Ajina Cakra has a main acoustic root, besides the acoustic roots of its two Vrittis apara and para:“Ksa” and “Ha”. BABA mentions it in the Senior Acarya Diary. It is T’HAM. The sixth cakra gets controlled by mental (vidyadhara) microvita. There is an ISHTA MANTRA that mainly uses these Microvita. It is “T’HAM-TAT”. The meaning is probably the same as the meaning of the HAM-SO Mantra: I AM HE. Now, also the Sahasrara Cakra has a main acoustic root. It is “OM”. The Istha Mantra related to OM is “OM-PHAT”. I guess the meaning is “Only HE”. This Mantra is so powerful that it can be used only on the big Sahasrara Cakra. Used on the lower Cakras it will damage the physical body. According to BABA the mind of a Tantric should become her/his laboratory. One is to perceive Cakras, Kosas, Microvita etc. The ideal Tantric lives what BABA calls “Kevala Bhakti”, which means that only BRAHMA and BRAHMA SADHANA have meaning for this type of Sadhaka. Everything else is worldly and of limited importance. Transcendental experiences then happen arranged by BRAHMA, not as a part of the individual’s wishes. The main acoustic roots of the Cakras I, II, III and IV are dominated by Rajo- or Tamoguna and not fit for a subtle Ishta Mantra. The use of the Mantras above used at the Cakra related to the particular acoustic root is more efficient: HAM-SO at the Vishuddha Cakra etc. A revolutionary change in Ananda Marga can only be achieved by making adjustments regarding the spiritual practices. I did not mention the Ishta Mantras used in Ananda Marga; they are more or less secret. There are still more Ishta Mantras like BRAHMA or KRSNA. Some of these other ISTHA MANTRAS function better if you know on which Cakra to use them. BABA predicted that Ananda Marga would shrink in the future; then, suddenly, the organization would expand with explosive speed. In comparison to today the summer programs in Berlin Sector of the 1990ies had double as many participants. If we want BABA’s prediction to become reality revolutionary changes inside the organization are a must. The vast majority of people who were initiated into A.M. meditation have sooner or later left, many because they were unable to perform the meditation. There should be an all-round effort to supply every citizen who is willing to meditate with free spiritual practices that she/he is capable to perform: BRAHMA SADHANA, Transcendental Meditation or another suitable meditation. Below is the comment of Uri Geller on "Advent of A Mystery, Vol.1&2"(on the back cover, two of the books on Shrii Shrii Anandamurti). He is one of the most investigated and celebrated psychics of the world. He baffled the world of physics with his extraordinary psychic abilities: “Every once in a long while, a book comes along that changes the way you think, the way you act. and the way you see the world around you. And once in a very long while, you come across someone who is truly extraordinary — mysterious, preferring anonymity, but one who impacts the world through the sheer weight of his exceptional knowledge, wisdom, cosmic outlook, and love for humanity. The biography Shri Shri Anandamurti: Advent of a Mystery is an eloquent portrait of one of the most intriguing spiritual masters in the 20th century. It comes at a time when people are groping for the meaning of life and the role of spirituality in life and evolution why we are here, where we are going, what’s the end destination, and how to get there? While the book gives convincing answers to these and other questions, what makes it different is that the theory is verified by practical demonstrations, making the stories immensely compelling. As you turn page after page in wondrous delight, you begin to wonder if what is written is possible - from riding a tiger to raising the dead to ending Stalin's life to prevent communism from engulfing the world and much more. Arc all these incredible stories possible? Is there a case for cosmic intervention in human history and in the workings of the universe? Are destiny and evolution products of chance or cosmic design? Is death the end or the beginning of life? Is reincarnation real? Are psychic and spiritual powers real or imaginary? And, if they exist, what is their purpose in the scheme of things? Do extraterrestrial civilizations exist or are we alone in the universe? Those and many more such topics in the book fascinate the reader and make him question his own premises and assumptions of life, truth and reality. I once said that the problem with the paranormal is that it's so weird. This book takes it a step further. Apart from enchanting readers with the cosmic experiences associated with heightened consciousness and demonstrations on life and death, the book also presents an impressive array of new knowledge in cosmology, the evolution of races, the concept of causality, and interesting snippets of information on World War II, among others. Advent of a Mystery isn't a bedtime story book by any measure. For serious students of spirituality, this book is an authoritative guide.” Shrii Shrii Anandamurti: "Try, O Sa'dhaka, to know only Him, in Whom are held the sky, the world and the void, in whom are ensconced the mind, the five vital forces and the sensory and motor organs. Shun all other pointless considerations except your efforts to know Him.  You are mortal, subject to death. Your desire of establishing yourself in deathlessness has been with you from eternity. And that very Brahma is the bridge leading to that state of deathlessness. So you will reap the real good, if you can only know Him."
